Any one know of an application or an automated batch process (hot folder type) that will convert PDF to XML? – Bill Penman

You could have a look at a company called Exegenix in Canada. Plus, my company, Square One, software batch converts PDF to XML-standard SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). It’s used for things like technical graphics, artwork, maps, but also documents like forms and statements. Vectors, images and text strings are all supported and preserved in WYSIWYG page layout. Not intended for things like long text-heavy documents. --Jeroen Dekker
