I have a PDF of a manual. We only use the top half of an 8 1/2 x 11 page. Is there a way to use Acrobat 5 to print only the top half so I only get an 8 1/2 by 5.5 booklet? – Lou

Open the PDF document in Acrobat 5. Select Document > Crop Pages. Adjust the margins as you like. -- Andy Hunyady

It's been my experience that cropping pages in Acrobat does NOT affect how the page prints. If you crop the pages, save the file as a postscript file and redistill, the resulting PDF will be cropped. – James

Use the crop from the menu, not the one on the tool bar. Then do a "save-as". When you print, make sure both your paper setup and your printer setup match. Print only one page to make sure you have the orientation correct before you print the entire document. -- Doug Horn
