The document collaboration solution updates boost proofing, document changes, and print corrections.

Adding the latest features to its widely used document collaboration and remote proofing solution Cyan eProof will allow for faster collaboration, better accuracy and shortened production cycles, Cyan Soft said on its Web site.

The remote proofing system eProof already gives users tools with which to read and correct high-resolution production files in real time via a standard Web browser.

Users can correct the original text of a PDF, Postscript, InDesign, Illustrator or Microsoft Word document, clients can correct the same document at the same time, and both will see each others' changes immediately. This significantly boosts print and design time because delays that are inherent in a collaborative effort are mitigated by the real-time tools.

Other key features noted by Cyprus-based Cyan Soft Ltd. in a news release are RapidImageView Image Streaming Technology, which allows viewing of gigabytes of high-resolution files in seconds over a dial-up connection, and support of InDesign docs with the ability to apply text changes to the original document by changing the text of the InDesign files via the Internet.

The upgraded features also include the ability to format text corrections. Users can click on any text paragraph, even in its original formatting via text editor, and then compare the original text in relation to any existing formatting. The latest offering also provides for color-accurate remote contract proofing on Mac and PC monitors as well as the ability to view original files in full-screen mode using the designated page layout and scale.

Users can even pick out some new "skins" and customize the eProof interface with a more company feel, noted Cyan Soft. No additional software install is required in order for users to use the eProof RapidImageView system, and eProof can be integrated into third-party software solutions.
