ALAP updates tool pack for Adobe InDesign CS2 … Typeco augments font collection with Cusp … P22 Type Foundry releases Cézanne font collection … JupiterImages acquires PictureArts.

A Lowly Apprentice Production offers an updated release of its Adobe InDesign CS2-compatible tool pack, while two font vendors announce new collections and JupiterImages acquires a large, royalty-free stock image company.

  • ALAP Updates Tool Pack for Adobe InDesign CS2

    Last week, Carlsbad, Calif.-based A Lowly Apprentice Production Inc. updated its tool pack for Adobe InDesign, InTools 1.1.1, adding support for InDesign CS2.

    InTools 1.1.1 is compatible with Mac operating systems 9.1 or later, OS X 10.2 or later, and Microsoft Windows 2000 or later. The application is priced at $99.99 and upgrades for existing InTools users are free of charge.

  • Typeco Augments Font Collection

    Typeco Typographic Services announced Wednesday the addition of the Cusp collection to its font offerings.

    Cusp includes 16 fonts plus two overlay fonts designed for creating multilayer effects.

    The Cusp collection is priced at $29 and can be purchased here.

  • P22 Type Foundry Releases Cézanne Font Collection

    On Tuesday, P22 Type Foundry released its five-script font set Cézanne for graphic professionals and publishing agencies.

    The OpenType font collection includes over 1,200 glyphs for use with Adobe CS products.

    Cézanne is priced at $23.95 and can be purchased on the company's Web site.

  • JupiterImages Acquires PictureArts

    On Tuesday, New York-based Jupitermedia Corp.'s JupiterImages division inked a deal to purchase the South Pasadena, Calif.-based stock photography company PictureArts Corp. for $63.2 million in cash.

    According to the release, the acquisition includes PictureArts brands Brand X Pictures, FoodPix, Botanica and Nonstock. The deal also includes PictureArts' image distribution business.
