Stufflt Deluxe 10.0 Boosts JPEG Image Compression

Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based Allume Systems Inc., a division of Smith Micro Software Inc., has released its data and image compression tool StuffIt Deluxe 10 for Mac users, adding new support for Mac OS X 10.4 and Spotlight and Automator features.

In addition, the release comes with Allume Systems' JPEG compression technology, which gives users the ability to compress JPEG images and photos by up to 30 percent without loss in image quality, according to the company.

Canto Integrates with Kodak's RealTimeProof Partner Product

Berlin-based Canto Software Inc. announced its intention to release an integrated solution of Canto Cumulus and Kodak's RealTimeProof Partner product.

Canto said the integration was developed to leverage remote proofing, approval management and the color management features of RealTimeProof Partner.

Users can access the RealTimeProof application online and designate the asset by using either the Cumulus Web application or the Cumulus native client application. The RealTimeProof application then enables previewing of assets, adding annotations and comparison of assets, according to the company.

Canto said initially the integration will only be available for Cumulus Enterprise products. For more information users can go here.
