Two companies announce boosted color-management offerings, while GarageFonts adds new typefaces to its font collection.

  • Master Colors' HVC Color Composer Boosts Color Palettes for Photoshop Users

    On Monday, Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Master Colors LLC announced the availability of a free demo version of its HVC Color Composer Pro Demo, a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop.

    HVC Color Composer provides color management and correction features for image manipulation, design, graphics and photo editing.

    The color utility is compatible with Mac OS X and with Adobe PhotoShop 7, CS and Elements 2.0 and 3.0.

    Pricing for the Standard edition starts at $49, and the Professional edition is priced at $129.

  • GarageFonts Adds Freight Fonts to Typeface Collection

    On Monday, Sandy Spring, Md.-based GarageFonts announced the addition of Joshua Darden's new typeface family, Freight.

    The new additions to the typeface offerings include Freight Sans, Freight Text and Freight Micro.

  • Pantone Brings Color to Winter with Publication of Annual Color Forecast

    Carlstatdt, N.J.-based Pantone Inc. has announced the release of the Winter 2006-2007 edition of its Pantone View Colour Planner.

    The planner highlights nine palettes for multiple design areas, including industrial design, clothing manufacturing and the graphics industry.

    Pricing for the color-trend forecasting publication runs at $750 suggested retail, and it is available now from Pantone distributors nationwide. Pantone View Colour Planner is published biannually by Metropolitan Publishing BV.
