Triple Triangle's InDesign CS2 plug-in improves image export capabilities, Callas Software adds Mac OS X compatibility to its EPS font embedder, Ikivo AB updates its mobile content authoring software and Talacia releases a Web page optimizer for faster downloads.

  • Triple Triangle Announces Raster Write Cubed for CS2

    Seattle, Wash.-based Triple Triangle Inc. has released Raster Write Cubed for InDesign CS2, with enhanced support for exporting content in InDesign's bleed and slug areas, according to the company.

    The Raster Write Cubed plug-in allows users to export TIFF, JPEG and GIF images of Adobe InDesign documents for use in generating proofs or print-quality images.

    A license of the full version is priced at $169.

  • Callas Software Updates Xtension FontIncluder2/XT

    Berlin-based Callas Software GMBH has updated XTension FontIncluder2/XT, its font embedding program, to be compatible with Mac OS X and QuarkXPress 6.x.

    With FontIncluder2/XT, users can embed fonts in EPS (Encapsulated PostScript file format) files from within QuarkXPress, and users can also drag their PostScript, EPS or DCS files on a droplet and embed the fonts automatically, according to the company.

    The pricing for a single-license version of the font tool is estimated at $299, and current users can purchase the update until Aug. 31st at a reduced price of $119.

  • Ikivo Releases Ikivo Animator 1.1 for Windows and Macintosh

    Stockholm, Sweden-based Ikivo AB has updated Ikivo Animator, its mobile content authoring application, now available for both Windows and Macintosh users.

    Ikivo Animator 1.1 features an enhanced Color Palette enabling creation and animation of gradients and opacity. The application also includes additional handset profiles for mobile devices shipping with Ikivo SVG Player.

    The Mobile SVG software solution enables designers to design and deploy SVG Tiny animations for targeted consumer mobile services.

    The tool is priced at $349 and can be downloaded from the company's Web site.

  • Talacia Releases Site Soap for Mac OS X

    U.K.-based Talacia Software has released Site Soap, a Web page optimizer that allows users to reduce image files, style sheets and entire Web sites for faster downloading speeds and bandwidth savings.

    In addition, Site Soap 1.0 features a batch interface for optimizing multiple files at one time.

    The optimizing solution can be purchased for $12.95.

    Site Soap 1.0 can be downloaded from the company's Web site, and a shareware version is also available.
