Insider Software aims to simplify font importation and enhance nested set functionality in Version 3.0.1.Insider Software has released FontAgent Pro 3.0.1, which enhances the user interface and improves the native Mac OS X application's font searching and filtering capabilities.
This release also augments version 3.0 by boosting the verification and handling of fonts with corrupt resources, refining the startup set activation, simplifying font importation and enhancing existing nested set capabilities.
One of the more significant enhancements to the release available in the Workgroup Edition is the support for Apple Bonjour technology, which enables automatic serverless font-sharing for workgroups.
"By adding the Apple Bonjour technology, we can now enable automatic discovery of other fonts on other machines. Users can literally pull any font off any other machine in a workgroup. And it's not network-based. Graphic artists can use this to highlight fonts that they want to share, and any user then can go in and obtain that font," said Bob Leeds, chief marketing officer for Los Gatos, Calif.-based Insider Software.
The updated version is free to all current licensees of FontAgent Pro 3, and is available for $99.95 retail.
The Workgroup Edition with serverless font sharing is priced at $129.95.
