FreeCRM.com is an advertising-driven CRM service aimed at small and midsize companies.
CRM ASP, Inc. has launched what
it claims is the first full-featured-yet-free hosted CRM service.
The new service, called
FreeCRM.com, supports itself through site advertising. It provides several CRM
applications, including contact management, sales lead automation and follow up,
task tracking, trouble ticket tracking, call automation, e-mail campaigning and
document management. As an incentive for new users, the service will run
advertising-free until 2004, the company said.
Users can also purchase an
advertising-free subscription to the service. Called the Professional version,
it costs $9.95 per month, but comes with a larger storage space for documents
and includes live support.
FreeCRM.com is looking to cash in
on the renewed interest in hosted CRM services (see Siebel teams with IBM on
hosted CRM offering, RMI:
Using the ASP model for CRM). Hosted services are increasingly popular with
small and midsize businesses who don’t want the hassle – or the cost – of
installing and maintaining traditional CRM software. With a hosted service,
users simply pay a monthly subscription fee to access applications such as
contact management, sales lead automation and others.
