Outputting CorelDraw files to PDF

What settings will ensure that the colors and images transfer correctly when I export my CorelDraw 12 files to PDF?

I work with large files that contain both vector and bitmaps. CorelDraw 12 allows me to export as .PDF, which I do often. Are there certain setting I should use so that colors and the images transfer correctly? –Stephen

 

PDF/X-1a is a good starting point. You might want to take a look at this Web site. PDF/X is an ISO standard that takes away the guesswork of generating solid PDFs for document exchange and output. Even the latest incarnation of Acrobat has PDF/X built into Distiller (the Professional version in any case). –Jon Bessant
