XChange has released seven XTensions for QuarkXPress 7.1, providing content publishers with a way to add features and functionalities to QuarkXPress publishing applications.XChange International announced March 21 that it has released seven XTensions for QuarkXPress v7.1, allowing content publishers to add different features and capabilities to layouts in QuarkXPress publishing platforms.
The XTensions from the U.K.-based XChange, a graphic and publishing application provider, are compatible with QuarkXPress v7.1 and include: Bookletizer, Art Gallery XT, Crops XT, FlexScale, Resize XT, Nametag and GridMaster.
"Users have come to depend on XTensions to expedite tedious or repetitive tasks, automate complete workflows and to provide features that the core application doesn't," said Tami Stodghill, an XChange company spokesperson.
Bookletizer allows content publishers to switch their documents from reader's spreads to printer's spreads, helping users to make appropriate adjustments for their print jobs while also featuring an option in the Print Dialogue menu that allows users to print the spreads that they want.
Art Gallery XT enables creative professionals to create a new document for their images, set preferences for those images and than choose a folder of graphics. The XTension then creates a grid of graphics, imports the images and adds captions to the images. With this XTension, users can also select the style sheet for the caption.
Crops XT lets users create crop and registration marks for objects or group within the QuarkXPress document page, enabling users to put more than one job on a page while also allowing users to adjust the sizes and offsets of their document.
FlexScale gives users the ability to scale a document to a printer or other device, allowing users to scale documents both vertically and horizontally.
Resize XT lets users choose a group of page elements and scale them with a specific percentage either proportionally, where the horizontal and vertical ratio is even, or non-proportionally, allowing users to choose two different percentages for their page design.
Nametag labels the placed graphics in a QuarkXPress document, enabling users to spot which graphic files were used in the document while GridMaster allows users to create grids of text or graphic boxes that can fit in a specified area.
XTensions let users automate what they would be forced to do over and over, saving time and money.
XChange's XTensions are available now through XChange International, and pricing depends on which XTension a user orders.
