A-PDF Solutions has released its File Splitter platform, allowing businesses to break down large PDF files and group those files into smaller-sized PDF files.

A-PDF Solutions announced March 26 that it has launched its a-PDF Size Splitter 1.2, its latest size splitter platform that lets businesses split Acrobat PDF files or group of files into smaller files.

Designed for company owners, CIOs, developers and other business personnel, PDF Size Splitter is a platform that allows users to split Acrobat PDF files into smaller files, helping to overcome file size limits set out by a user's e-mail program or maximum attachment size limits.

A-PDF Size Splitter 1.2, which does not require Adobe Acrobat and produces documents that are compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 and above, allows users to choose how the output files will be named using a built-in output file name pattern. With this tool, each of the split PDF files is named and can be identified by the user at a later time.

The built-in output file name pattern tool also lets users enter their own name selection and give split files any name and sequence that they want while also being allowed to select the folder for saving output PDF files.

Size Splitter 1.2 supports password-protected PDF files while keeping the original PDF file encryption and also lets users recombine the split PDF files with other PDF files using A-PDF-Merger, which is a tool that allows users to form new composite PDF files.

The newest File Splitter version is compatible with Windows Vista and uses a Windows-styled interface that provides users with context help prompts or error messages when one occurs.

A-PDF Size Splitter 1.2 is available now for $49.
