New version of the production and publishing platform features extended HD workflows and integrated closed captions.Anystream Inc. has unveiled Agility 5.0, the latest version of its digital media production and publishing platform, with extended HD workflows and integrated closed captions and proxy file generation.
"By turning repetitive media production and content repurposing tasks into hands-off, programmatic processes, Agility lets broadcasters leverage the efficiency of automated digital media production to rapidly capitalize on new opportunities," said Fady Lamaa, Anystream's vice president of product marketing, in a statement.
Agility integrates with existing production systems and gives broadcasters a tool to quickly convert and exchange media in digital file format using a customized profile-based system and deliver the content via broadcast, Web streaming or to other syndicated outlets, according to the company.

Additional Agility 5.0 features include improved MXF functionality with support for IMX codecs and improved quality through essence file rewrapping. This release also enables automatic frame and time code-accurate proxy generation for review and approval in news, video-on-demand. and asset management applications.
Agility is compatible many non-linear editing systems, including Avid, NewsCutter, Avid XPress and Pinnacle Liquid.
Anystream, based in Sterling, Va., announced the upgraded software application at this week's National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas.
