Corel has launched its Ulead VideoStudio 11 and Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus, its video editing and DVD authoring platform. Corel Corp. announced April 30 that its Ulead VideoStudio 11 and Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus, a video editing and DVD authoring platform that provides users with editing and authoring tools that allow them to create and capture videos, are available now.
Ulead VideoStudio 11, which supports formats including standard and high-definition video, images and audio, features the MPEG Optimizer, enabling users to customize their MPEG settings for rendering video when combining clips in multiple formats.
Corel's video editing and authoring platform allows users to capture video from video sources such as DV camcorders including HDV and AVCHD (Advanced Video Coding High Definition) camcorders, hard drive camcorders, USB camcorder devices, mobile phones as well as VCRs and Webcams.
"With VideoStudio 11, consumers have a solution for capturing video from the new crop of AVCHD camcorders; editing without quality loss; and outputting to disc, tape or the Web to share with friends and family," Blaine Mathieu, vice president and general manager, Products and Strategy, Digital Media at the Canadian-based Corel, said in a company statement.
VideoStudio 11 also includes DV-to-DVD Wizard, which allows users to convert DV from their camcorder to a DVD while also enabling users to develop DVDs and HD-DVDs using multimedia menus. This platform also features Movie Wizard, which allows users to capture, edit and output video clips in multiple animated frames.
The new video editing and DVD authoring platform also features an Auto Color & Tune, which auto-corrects the color and tone of videos that are recorded in low light while also including a DeBlock filter, enabling users to clean up their videos using compression tools.
VideoStudio 11 plus includes all the features mentioned above but adds on to it with its Dolby Digital 5.1 Creator Technology, which coverts 2 channel stereo sound to Dolby Digital 5.1 sound while also allowing users to burn their projects to HD DVD-R/RW or standard DVD discs.
Ulead VideoStudio 11 is available for $89.99 while the Plus edition is available for $129.99.
