Version 1.0.5 is first native, end-to-end solution for Sony's new 1080i camcorder.

MainConcept released version 1.0.5 of its MPEG Pro editing plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro. MPEG Pro adds native MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 editing to Premiere Pro, eliminating unnecessary rendering with smart rendering and requantizing. MPEG Pro offers real-time capture to MPEG from various analog and digital devices, as well as exporting to many devices. Version 1.0.5 adds support for Sony's Handycam HDR-FX1 high definition camcorder and delivers HD editing speed improvement, as well as other enhancements and fixes.

"We are proud to release this new version of MPEG Pro," said MainConcept Founder and CEO Markus Moenig. "Once again MainConcept demonstrates its leadership position by offering the first native, end-to-end solution for Sony's exciting new 1080i camcorder. HDR-FX1 users can capture, edit, and export back to the camera without leaving Premiere Pro—and without transcoding the material to another format for editing."

Version 1.0.5 is a free update for registered MPEG Pro users. The standard version is available for $249. The HD version is $349.
