Company touts product's price and its integration with Final Cut Pro.

Looking to give videographers the power of color correction in an economical package, Silicon Color Inc. has announced its color correction and grading solution for QuickTime, FinalTouch SD, at the ongoing NAB 2005 in Las Vegas.

Speaking from the convention, Roland Wood, president and founder of San Diego-based Silicon Color, said, "There's no other product with its features in this pricing category."

Wood said the most significant features of the release are its ease of integration with Apple Computer Inc.'s Final Cut Pro editing application and its value pricing.

"There are thousands of videographers in the market today that have never experienced the power of professional color correction. We wanted to empower that market segment with a fantastic tool set, while also providing a tightly integrated solution with Final Cut Pro," Wood said.

Features in this release include high-speed rendering from within FinalTouch SD using a queue management system, unlimited still storage for saving shots when using split-screen comparison and node-based color effects for advanced color creativity.

FinalTouch SD is shipping now and priced at $995.
