Turning Stone Casino Resort adopts Agilysys’s DMS to cuts costs, save time.
Turning Stone Casino Resort is located in the heart of upstate New York and owned and operated by
the Oneida Indian Nation.
The resort is home to several hotels, an RV park, a campground, and more
than 120,000 square feet of gaming space, golf courses, restaurants and even a
luxury spa.
Turning Stone was finding it difficult to track and store its various
documentation, which included faxes, e-mails and spreadsheets. Storage costs
were mounting, and employees were finding it difficult to locate and access
documentation when they needed it.
Further pressure was added by recent legislative
efforts, such as Sarbanes-Oxley and the USA Patriot Act, which mandate strict documentation controls. The casino decided to
implement Agilysys&singlequot;
Document Management System (DMS) as a way to ease the whole process.
Agilysys&singlequot; DMS is a complete document imaging and management system that
enables the casino to scan every piece of documentation, including faxes and
e-mails, index them and store them for later retrieval. It helps with compliance
because it supports electronic registration and signature capture, and it
supports a huge amount of storage space, making it far easier to document and
track every piece of paper as it enter the resort.
The casino has already seen some stellar results. "In selecting a
document management system, a top priority was the ability to increase
productivity by maximizing access to information while minimizing costs
associated with storage and retrieval," said John Kuznia, director of
information technology at Turning Stone Casino Resort. "DMS has given us a
higher level of efficiency from our daily operations and provides a single
host-based imaging solution."
