DigiEffects Adds New Special Effects for Photoshop Users
DigiEffects, based in Austin, Texas, has released Web Euphoria 1.8, which offers twenty special effects plug-ins for Photoshop 6 or higher users.
The release includes image editing tools for adding natural effects such as particle-based fire, smoke and rain.
The release is priced at $195 and can be downloaded from the company's Web site here.
XMPie Releases uImage at PRINT'O5
XMPie unveiled uImage last week at PRINT'05 in Chicago. The new imaging solution for Adobe Photoshop CS2 Users works with XMPie's suite of publishing solutions.
uImage combines image and text data with Photoshop templates to create personalized images that are automatically integrated back into XMPie's variable data publishing production, according to the company.
uImage also provides advanced Photoshop image controls, including sizing for both personalized images and personalized text, as well as automating Photoshop design tasks utilizing JavaScript or Photoshop's Actions Palette.
The company said uImage will be available for distribution in October 2005.

H&M Systems Boosts StudioLine Photo 2 Digital Image Solution
H&M Systems Software Inc. of Upper Saddler River, N.J., has released an update to its popular digital imaging software solution StudioLine Photo 2, with boosted features for e-mailing images and for exporting images to printers, scanners and DVDs.
StudioLine Photo 2.12 also allows users to size each image for e-mail distribution, with a preview window available prior to files being sent.
Users can customize an image's sizing in pixels, inches or centimeters and control the print resolution of designated images.
The Windows-based solution is available at major stores, and electronic copies can be purchased for $44 on the product's Web site.
