PictureArts Expands Stock-Image Collection
On Thursday, Pasadena, Calif.-based PictureArts inked an agreement partnering with Evanston, Ill.-based Ibid photography to exclusively offer and distribute Ibid's specialty image collection.

Abneil Software Boosts Styles Collection
On Thursday, United Kingdom-based Abneil Software Ltd. announced updates to its style collections, including new patterned styles, bevel styles and more gradient effects available to commercial photo and image editors.
The styles are compatible with the latest version of Adobe Photoshop as well as with previous versions.

Popwire Technology Goes Tiger with Compression Master 3.1
Stockholm, Sweden-based Popwire Technology, a subsidiary of Teleca AB, on Thursday added compatibility for Tiger and QuickTime 7 with the release of its server-based video encoding processing application, Compression Master 3.1.
With this release, Popwire Technology has extended support for H.264 video, Windows Media MBR, HD support and Flash video integration, according to the release.
The upgrade is free for existing customers, and the application is priced at $400 for new users.

Snowbound Software Releases JBIG2 Plug-In for RasterMaster
Earlier this week, Watertown, Mass.-based Snowbound Software Corp. released its JBIG2 plug-in for its RasterMaster 14.0 Imaging SDK for Windows and .Net as well as its SnowBatch conversion application.
The plug-in gives users the ability to create JBIG2 compressed images from any black-and-white file or document format supported by RasterMaster including TIFF, G4, G3, PNG and MO:DCA, according to the company.
The company said the plug-in also provides the ability to compress existing Adobe Acrobat documents by converting black-and-white images to embedded JBIG2 compressed files.
