Version 1.2 enables users to apply image effects more efficiently.IOSPIRIT GmBH has updated its digital picture management software Picture Arena, giving users new image handling capabilities and enhancing the efficiency and speed of color correction.
"With this release, we've added the capability to rework images on the fly by using the effect list, which lets users stack up any number of effects and operations on top of a picture, then change their order, remove any of them, and go back and forth in the list, without changing the original file," said Felix Schwartz, spokesperson for Herzogenaurach, Germany-based IOSPIRIT. "Users can also save effect lists and reuse them when needed."
Users can then apply the features saved in the effect lists, such as adding copyright notices, specific resizing and color correction in an effect recipe, and apply the customized recipe to any number of images with one click in the browser's context menu, Schwartz said.
Picture Arena 1.2 also includes a clipboard function for copying and pasting files, auto rotation of images in browsing, image resizing capabilities, and adjusted effect controls for improved color correction. This release is also compatible with Mac OS X.
The release is available now for $25.90 at an introductory price until the end of April. All updates until the release of Version 2.0 are free to purchasers of Version 1.x. A trial version can be downloaded at www.picturearena.com for 14-day usage, with demo-watermark in saved files.
