Users can now easily import native Photoshop images into QuarkXPress layouts.

Quark has released a long-awaited plug-in for QuarkXPress 6.5: PSD Import. This free Xtensions software allows you to import native Adobe Photoshop files (.psd), with layers, channels, and paths intact, into picture boxes in QuarkXPress layouts.

With PSD Import you can:

Save yourself the trouble of flattening, saving, storing, and tracking multiple files.
Display the layers, channels, and paths of your choice, and preview images in a layout instantly.
Modify opacity of PSD layers and experiment with 22 Photoshop Blend Modes.
Modify your PSD file using the QuarkXPress tools.
Explore various text-wrap options.
Print color separations of assorted modes from QuarkXPress.
Map PSD alpha and spot channels to QuarkXPress colors or inks.
Readily make last-minute changes.
