Designed for Oce’s VarioPrint 5160 or 5155 printers, the feeder lets print runs go nonstop for up to 8 hours.
Oce announced it will provide a new Roll-to-Cut-Sheet Feeder option for
its Oce VarioPrint 5160 and 5115 digital cut-sheet printers that will help
high-volume printing operations get eight hours of unattended printing
time, even for complex jobs requiring multiple paper types.
The new Roll Feeder doesn’t affect the rated speed of the digital print
system, and enables users to take advantage of the high-speed, high-production
option, while also being able to access all of the VarioPrint’s input paper
drawers.
Oce said the new Roll Feeder is targeted at transaction applications such
as statements or invoices that require multiple paper stocks for the same job.
For example, an insurance package might need white paper, letterhead or other
preprinted stock, and safety paper for checks, all of which can be handled by
the system in unattended mode.
The Feeder provides over 50,000 sheets per roll, and one 11-in.-wide
paper roll can supply both 8.5-in. by 11-in. and 11-in. by 17-in. formats. The
company said form length is changed via a central console, easing the
process.
Available in December, the option is priced at $79,500.
The announcement comes on the heels of the Netherlands-based company’s
announced intention to combine its two largest operating companies into one
large digital document management division serving all of North America. The
company said its Oce Printing Systems USA will be joined with Oce-USA into a
single legal entity to be known as Oce North America, effective Dec.
