Integrated Technologies Inc.
announced its Access Digital Media subsidiary has digitally delivered and
projected DreamWorks SKG Studios' newest release, "Shark
Tale," featuring the vocal
talents of an all-star cast including Will Smith, Robert DeNiro and Renee
Zellweger. "Shark Tale" opened nationally on Friday, October 1st in both digital
and analog formats.
In agreement with DreamWorks, AccessIT provided,
under commercial terms, digital content management and secure delivery of the
film, via satellite, to 19 AccessIT digitally equipped theaters in the U.S. A
total of 22 screens are booked to show the film through this
agreement.
Russell Wintner, president and COO of Access Digital Media, the media services subsidiary of AccessIT stated, "whether the film is
a digitally animated feature or one shot on celluloid, the advantages of digital
delivery and projection over traditional methods are impressive -- reduced costs
and improved control and flexibility for the distributor and an enhanced
entertainment experience for the audience. We are pleased to have another
opportunity to work with DreamWorks on 'Shark Tale,' their latest
project."
Mark Christiansen, head of Operations for
DreamWorks Distribution, added, "Because animated films such as 'Shark Tale' are
created digitally on a computer, it was only logical that we provide the
audience with the opportunity to see the film in its truest digital form. Having
worked successfully with AccessIT in the past on the digital distribution and
projection of 'Collateral,'
I was confident in their ability to deliver this film."
