The updates provide tools for sharing catalog assets over the Internet.Directed at enabling better digital asset management over the Internet, digital asset management solutions provider Canto Software Inc. has announced the availability of Internet Client Pro 2.0.1 and Web Publisher Pro 2.0.1. The products are compatible with Canto's recently released Cumulus 6.5.
Internet Client Pro 2.0.1 is a component of the Cumulus Business Server Solution and Cumulus Enterprise. Web Publisher Pro 2.0.1 is a component of the Cumulus Publishing Server Solution.
Internet Client Pro 2.0.1 and Web Publisher Pro 2.0.1 give Cumulus users the ability to publish their media on existing Web pages and enable customers to search for images and other documents within existing Cumulus catalogs using standard Web browsers, according to the company.
A company representative said the main feature of the options release is the ability for users to share catalog assets over the Web.

Internet Client Pro 2.0.1 also enables users to manage media assets according to their defined access rights. Users can track new assets and categorize them, edit and update stored metadata, and check in and check out assets for local processing without installing additional software.
The upgrades to both applications employ Cumulus 6.5 authentication capabilities and user authentication using stored passwords, system passwords and API authentication, according to the company.
Both releases are available for download from Canto's eShop. They ship with English, German, French and Japanese user interfaces on Mac OS X, Windows, Solaris and Linux platforms.
