The upgraded versions of Internet Client Pro 3.0 and Web Publisher Pro 3.0 offer metadata template support and image search using standard Web browsers.Digital asset management solutions provider Canto intends to release updates to its Internet Client Pro and Web Publisher Pro products in tandem with the release of its Cumulus 6.5.1 release in July.
The Berlin-based Canto Software Inc. said it will release versions 3.0 of Internet Client Pro, a component of the Cumulus Business Server Solution, and Cumulus Enterprise and Web Publisher Pro, a component of the Cumulus Publishing Server Solution.

Internet Client Pro and Web Publisher Pro give users the ability to publish their media on existing Web pages and enable their customers to search for images and other documents within existing Cumulus catalogs using standard Web browsers, according to Canto.
Canto has updated both applications to support Cumulus Actions, a feature of Cumulus 6.5 that enables users to combine several tasks into one step.
The feature also enables e-mail notification to users when changes are made to a specific asset, and identifies by URL link the specific record changed.
Internet Client Pro 3.0 will also support metadata templates so data entered will be standardized and consistent. Canto has boosted the Quicksearch function for user search capabilities and added the security feature of RSA encryption as standard for login passwords on both solutions.
Both Internet Options require a Cumulus 6.5.1 installation and are compatible with Mac OS X, Windows, Solaris and Linux platforms. Canto said upgrades for customers enrolled in the Upgrade Advantage Program will be free.
