J2EE-based system now has separate applications for front end and back end that can be purchased separately.ClearStory Systems has released Radiant Enterprise Media Server 2.0, with enhanced capabilities to manage rich media and graphics processing.
The J2EE-based system includes media processing tools, enterprise-scale security for digital asset protection, and digital and database file repositories to manage multi-media assets.
John Gonzalez, vice president of marketing for Westborough, Mass.-based ClearStory Systems said, "Radiant Enterprise Media Server (EMS) was architected so that the back-end application and front-end application layer are separate. The 2.0 release of EMS introduces additional capabilities into the EMS rich media platform, as well as provides a first comprehensive reference front-end application layer built on the platform."
The digital asset management (DAM) application included in the Radiant EMS 2.0 release now delivers increased digital asset management capabilities to users, Gonzalez said.

"Because of how EMS was architected it's an ideal software platform for creating rich media solutions. By layering the architecture, companies or OEMs can choose to only purchase the back end and connect it to their legacy e-commerce, CRM, ECM, marketing automation, etc. systems. Or they can purchase the whole system," said Gonzalez.
With the new configurable front end, OEMs and customers can assemble custom user interfaces to expose different feature sets and allow users to brand the different UIs.
