AKVIS LLC last week released Chameleon 2.2, an image editing plug-in compatible with Adobe Photoshop CS2.
The image-merging tool enables users to merge a copied object into a specific image and have the blended object reflect the colors and background of the existing image.

Windsor Interfaces Announces PhotoMesa 3.0
Windsor Interfaces Inc. on Friday announced its release of PhotoMesa 3.0, a zoomable image browser.
The image browser allows users to view multiple image folders and directories at once, and to search and locate photos by name, category or caption annotations.
The browser supports several image file types, including JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, EMF, ICON, TIF and WMF.

Accela Communications Inc. on Thursday released AccelaCast Audio Express, its audio-driven rich media marketing tool for use in Webcasting and enhancing audio presentations.

PunchStock Empowers Search with 600,000 Stock Image Collection
PunchStock on Monday announced its new search technology and an updated Web site design, both of which the company said are targeted at making image search and viewing of its library of over 600,000 royalty-free images easier for users.
The integrated search offering is designed to decrease the time users spend searching for specific images. The guided search tool gives users the ability to search by keyword queries, including vendor keywords, and provides sort results by category using relevance and volume of images.
The company also highlighted a new feature of its Web site, which automatically resizes browser windows, allowing a large number of thumbnail images to be viewed online at one time.
