Insider Software sets free Tiger-ready FontAgent Pro 3.0.2
On Thursday, Insider Software released its font management system program FontAgent Pro 3.0.2 with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) compatibility.
FontAgent Pro is a full font management application that enables users to master all that is font-related for publishing needs. Users can diagnose, correct, optimize and index fonts as well as create and design new fonts utilizing the system.
FontAgent Pro 3 is priced at $99.95 suggested retail.

Nikon teams with Microsoft
On Thursday, Nikon Corporation announced that it will collaborate with Microsoft Corp. to integrate the Nikon supplied codec program for its Raw file format called NEF (Nikon Electronic Format) files into Microsoft's upcoming Longhorn operating system.
With the announcement Nikon also said the two companies had teamed in working on the Microsoft Raw Image Thumbnailer and Viewer for Windows XP.

Canon unveils scanners with budget-friendly pricing
Canon U.S.A. Inc. on Thursday announced two new scanners aimed at giving more consumers scanning power with the economical offerings.
The CanoScan LiDE 25 comes at an estimated priced of $49.99, and the CanoScan LiDE 60's estimated price is $79.99.
Both scanners are compatible with Mac OS X (10.2 to 10.3) and Windows XP, 2000, ME or 98 operating systems.

Atypon Systems introduces e-publishing online subscription module
On Thursday e-publishing software provider Atypon Systems Inc. introduced an online subscription module as part of Atypon's Literatum and Extenza e-publishing platforms.
The module gives publishers the ability to offer online users several ways of purchasing content and enables publishers to determine how to sell or renew access to existing and new content.
