Canada-based imposition software developer Ultimate Technographics Inc. has unveiled Impostrip On-Demand 4.3, adding support for Acrobat 7, Quark 6.5, Illustrator CS, Corel Draw 12 and the Opus variable data system.
Impostrip On-Demand 4.3 automates the template-creation process for users through its Dynamic Templates feature which gives users the capability to assign a template for several different digital print jobs.
Once created, the dynamic template can then be associated with custom configured hot folders for print output.
According to the company, the automation features in Impostrip On-Demand can also be used by small format CTP users for automating workflow for PDF and PostScript imposition to produce printing plates.

The Plugin Site Releases ColorWasher for Mac OS X
Germany-based The Plugin Site has announced the release of its color correction plug-in ColorWasher with Mac OS X compatibility.
ColorWasher gives users the ability to enhance and correct contrast, exposure and saturation of 8-bit and 16-bit photos. In addition, the tool has built-in features for hiding image noise, camouflaging overexposed areas and fixing chopped histograms.
ColorWasher is available for Mac OS X and Windows-based systems and is priced at $49.95 for a regular license or $29.95 for an educational license.

MegaWorks Refreshes DigiTools for Tiger compatibility
UK-based MegaWorks has released DigiTools 2.0 for Mac OS X 10.4 compatibility.
The major update release adds twenty new features including updates to its font panel, RTF support, and boosted image viewing capabilities.
Other notable enhancements in 2.0 include addition of a spellchecker, and an expansion of the word counting feature which gives users the ability to count words, lines, characters, paragraphs and sentences of any text document, according to the company.
