The free, open-source Linux operating system has much to offer Web designers.

Web designers generally love the fact that Linux is network-friendly. One major advantage to operating a Web site on a Linux machine is that an exact mirror of the site can be run on a desktop machine. By using a mirror to work on site development, designers are able to avoid the pitfalls inherent in transferring files from one type of system to another.
