The company will host Web TV and presentation applications, among others, based on the latest release of Flash Media Server.Influxis, a company that specializes in Flash Media Server hosting, today announced a new partnership with Adobe to provide hosting for Flash Media Interactive Server 3. The company is now offering a beta version to select customers in the US.
"Flash Media Interactive Server 3 lets you add value to your video by helping you monetize and socialize your videos," said Kevin Towes, product manager, Flash Media Server at Adobe. "Flash Media Interactive Server applications can be built for the browser, the Desktop, and the mobile device which all enhance the socializing of video."
Influxis was the first offer stand-alone Flash Communication server hosting, first providing the service in 2002. The company will provide support applications for Web sites as well as desktop "rich internet applications" based on Adobe's Flex.
"Flash applications offer versatility in creating live real-time social communication tools" said said Richard Blakely, CEO at Influxis. "For instance, our Internet TV application allows for programming of a custom online television station with built-in chat and live broadcasting capabilities, while our LivePresenter application creates a multi-cam presentation meeting environment." said Richard Blakely, CEO at Influxis. The company plans to provide the full range of Flash Media Server features and capabilities at the same pricing tiers it currently offers.
Influxis, has a large ibrary of plug-and-play Flash applications targeted at social networking application, offered free with an Influxis hosting account. In addition, Influxis has an in-house development team which provides one-to-one personalized Flash customer support for no extra fee.
