Archibus Inc. and Cyco Software develop strategic partnership between document and facilities/infrastructure management to offer customers a complete Infrastructure Facilities and Document Management (IFDM) solution.
Cyco Software, a global software company offering
Electronic Document Management (EDM) solutions, and Archibus Inc., developer of
facilities and infrastructure management solutions, have teamed to offer
customers a total Infrastructure Facilities and Document Management (IFDM)
solution.
Cyco’s AutoManager Meridian provides engineering and
document management solutions for the CAD and facilities management market.
ARCHIBUS/FM is a tightly integrated suite of applications for managing and
extending the life cycles of facility and infrastructure assets. The solution
lets users organize information in meaningful ways, thereby improving business
processes such as space planning, moves/adds/changes, maintenance/repair
operations, and more.
"By extending our solution with the engineering document management
capabilities of Cyco&singlequot;s AutoManager Meridian, our clients will enjoy enhanced
collaboration techniques as both internal and external personnel access all the
information they need related to a company&singlequot;s facilities," says Jim Goodfield,
vice president of Business Development at ARCHIBUS.
The recently merged Pharmacia/Pfizer
organization in Milan, Italy, has deployed both AutoManager Meridian and
ARCHIBUS/FM to manage crucial facilities and infrastructure information. Franco
Zambra, Systems & Automation Manager says, "Pharmacia has saved a
significant amount of time and increased document security by using AutoManager
Meridian and ARCHIBUS/FM." He continues, "It is very important for us to share
data within our project development team and to have quick and secure access to
all our engineering and facilities-related documents in and outside the office.
By using both products we have been able to create efficient management of
facilities documents and automate important procedure control for our
engineering operations."
