Ipedo’s XML Information Hub allows companies to gather information from Word, PDF and other source documents, and move that information quickly and easily into XML.
Ipedo has added new tools for handling
XML data within its Web information management software. XML Information Hub 3.3
includes integrated content conversion, rules-based organizing of information
and a standards-based query engine.
The new version of XML Information Hub
introduced in early May, 2003, comprises several components, including an
integration manager and database. The software enables companies to gather
information from varied data sources and then organize and post it on the web.
"With this release we strived to simplify the difficult problems of
information integration and automated availability," said Nick Zhang, CEO and
co-founder of Ipedo. "By fusing integration and management concepts together in
the Ipedo XML Information Hub, we allow organizations to have a simpler, unified
approach to managing and delivering their information."
The upgrade&singlequot;s new content conversion
unit simplifies moving Word, PDF and other non-XML documents into XML. The
XQuery engine, based on industry standards for XML, can perform search and
update, targeted full-text searches and federated queries. The product also
leverages emerging web services standards to integrate and control feeds of
information.
The Ipedo XML Information Hub gives organizations centralized visibility
and control over their information. Businesses can leverage the full potential
of their critical database management systems, CRM and ERP applications and
content management systems by integrating information into a flexible
middle-tier hub, where information can be centrally managed and customized for
the unique needs of each user or application. Comprised of a collection of
tightly integrated modules employing Extensible Markup Language (XML), the Ipedo
XML Information Hub connects islands of information and presents customized
views to applications and users on demand. Specialized tagging and structure
management techniques improve information search and merge operations, and
provide more relevant information delivery.
