Kmart.com hopes new site will boost e-commerce shopping for holidays.
Fresh from its announcement of merging with Sears, Kmart has re-launched
its e-commerce site – www.kmart.com. The site was completely overhauled according to the company and now
includes easier navigation, customer-friendly interfacing, higher search
capability and more categories to purchase from.
New graphics and colors were added to the site, as well as brand shops
like Martha Stewart Everyday, Jaclyn Smith and Route 66. The newly designed Web
site also has online customer buying guides and more “how-to’s” outlined by
industry experts to help aid in purchasing. Customers can also use the upgraded
search capability to access brand and price ranges easier.
"The reinvented kmart.com site offers customers the ability to simply
shop online for their favorite Kmart brands," said Karen Austin, President for
kmart.com and Chief Information Officer. "With a fresh, clean site, superior
navigation, simple buying guides and improved merchandise selection, shoppers
can easily purchase online the merchandise they know and love from their
traditional Kmart 'bricks and mortar' stores."
In conjunction with the re-launch of the site, kmart.com is offering
customers the chance to "Win Your Holiday Wish List." Shoppers can register now
through December 24, to win up to $500 in kmart.com merchandise.
