In another effort to shore up its Breeze Web conferencing tool, Macromedia today announced that it is offering free kits to help organizations better integrate Breeze into their existing enterprise applications.

The kits, called Breeze Solutions Accelerators, consist of sample code and documentation for integrating Breeze with current LDAP employee directories, or for making Breeze content and scheduling information available on external or internal Web sites and portals based on Java, ColdFusion and Microsoft’s .NET.

"The solution accelerators included with Breeze will simplify the process of integrating very user-friendly Web conferencing and rich media presentation capabilities into a wide range of enterprise applications and business processes," said Paul Ritter, program manager for collaboration research at Yankee Group. "For example, the ability to leverage corporate directory integration for planning and scheduling meetings and training sessions is one example where solution accelerators will help businesses increase productivity and efficiency across their entire organization."

The announcement is another way the vendor hopes to generate interest in Breeze, which debuted under the Macromedia name in October. Macromedia also tried offering free access to Breeze for the month of March.

The solution accelerators are available now as free downloads for existing Breeze customers here. Macromedia Breeze trial subscriptions are also available and can be requested here.
