New version focuses on international, ease-of-use features.
PeopleSoft announced that Version 8.9 of its EnterpriseOne CRM, an
upgrade of its recently acquired JD Edwards’ 5 family of products, is now
available.
The new version bolsters the tool’s international utility with support
for more languages, now including Swedish, Dutch, Danish, Finnish and Norwegian,
in addition to new multi-currency and Unicode support.
Version 8.9 also includes new features aimed at reducing a company’s
total cost of ownership, PeopleSoft said. For example, it now has a
multi-channel interaction manager, which enables users to view a customer’s
status while they’re in-queue. This means call agents can review a customer’s
history prior to answering a call, the company said.
It also comes with a new service order search capability that lets users
specify filters and more efficiently search for service, manufacturing and
maintenance work orders. It also now offers color coded data entry. This feature
helps ensure error-free data entry, since the field background color changes
when a data entry error is detected, the company said.
"EnterpriseOne CRM 8.9 continues to extend the supply chain to the
customer, reducing operational lead time and improving efficiencies," said Joel
Reed, senior director of product marketing for PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne. "The
solution's scalability and rapid deployment capabilities also translate into
better corporate decisionmaking, customer care, and more accurate
forecasting."
PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne CRM 8.9 is available immediately, although the
multi-channel enhancements are not expected to be available until the end of the
fourth quarter.
