Right Hemisphere acquires Radish Works' Cosmos Creator and President and CEO Michael Bailey.
Right Hemisphere has
acquired Radish Works’ Cosmos Creator, an interactive authoring software environment for
creating real-time 3D applications. Now renamed Deep Creator, this software will
allow Right Hemisphere customers to create interactive training and simulation
content with the absorbing, photo-realistic environments we have come to expect
of video games.
Right Hemisphere's flagship Deep Server
re-purposes 2D and 3D engineering design data for product support applications.
Deep Creator will allow customers to actually interact with that engineering
content for more enjoyable and effective computer-based trainings on such things
as equipment installation and servicing procedures.
While Right Hemisphere remains
committed to openness and still supports third-party 3D authoring applications,
CEO Michael Lynch is enthusiastic about bringing both Deep Creator and its chief
architect, Michael Bailey, in-house. Tight integration with Right Hemisphere's
client and server-based software will deliver an advanced, end-to-end production
solution with more automation of the content development process.
With a high-performance 3D engine and
an intuitive integrated application development environment, Deep Creator
enables the creation of scenes, training applications, games, and learning
objects as stand-alone CD-ROM, Intranet, or interactive Web-based applications.
You can even create and edit scenes from within a running training application.
You can also deliver complex scenes in small files with short download times
thanks to the ability to generate procedurally created 3D scene assets that
require only that you save the procedure for their creation, without any and all
support files.
The new release of Deep Creator will be
available in January 2005. Radish Works' existing users will be supported by
Right Hemisphere, effective immediately.
