Stonebridge announced that it is putting together a series of free Webinars aimed at helping organizations prepare for the new Sarbanes-Oxley legislation.

The four-part series, titled "How to Incorporate Smart Solutions for SOX: Year One and Beyond," begins with its first installment on April 20, from 12 to 1 p.m EDT. It is sponsored by Stonebridge, as well as partners Open Text, Cognos and Sybase.

The first seminar will be led by Edwin E. Lee, JD and principal consultant for legislative and regulatory impact at Stonebridge. Lee will highlight some of the compliance challenges companies face today, such as missing or ineffective internal controls, reporting inaccuracies and the lack of an auditable trail of compliance activities. He will also offer solutions for reporting and data consistency and will address how companies can use technology not only to remedy deficiencies uncovered in their 404 internal audit process but also to manage their overall 404 project. Also, Kent Blakemore, solutions architect for Cognos, will demonstrate some Cognos technologies that help tackle these challenges as well.
