Union Privilege is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 to support Union Members by offering a variety of high-quality, discounted products and services exclusively to working families. Union Privilege launched their redesigned Web site in December of 2001 with the intent to offer a centralized method for their constituents to access all their discounted products and services. The Web site more than fulfilled this goal. There were still problems, however, that needed to be addressed.

Catapult&singlequot;s services were requested to address these problems. The key was creating a strong word-of-mouth effect. Catapult developed several viral marketing tools such as an "e-mail this article to a friend" utility and Virtual Postcards.

Catapult also developed registration forms that asked the site&singlequot;s visitors to provide information about themselves so that personalized content could be retrieved each time they visited.

What were their constituents looking for? Who are they and what do they find most useful?

Through the use of feedback forms, Union Privilege was able to better ascertain what their users wanted and what they thought about various programs. Catapult also developed a reporting system that gave Union Privilege insight into what sections of the Web site were most visited or used.
