Watchfire announced it has integrated its WebXACT site testing tool within Adobe’s GoLive CS and Creative Suite applications.

The integration enables Adobe GoLive users to test each page of Web content for compliance issues and quality defects such as broken links or anchors, warnings or page issues from within GoLive -- without having to open a separate application. In addition to ferreting out quality problems, the tool also summarizes any accessibility issues on the page to help users make sure their sites comply with the U.S. Government's Section 508 and the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Watchfire said.

Adobe said integrating the Watchfire capabilities within GoLive helps site publishers ensure they aren’t hobbled by common quality or accessibility issues that tend to drive users away from sites.

"Adobe is working with Watchfire to provide customers with the ability to integrate content testing into the Adobe publishing workflow," said George Arriola, senior product manager for Adobe GoLive. "Our combined solution will help our customers meet current accessibility and quality requirements and will make it easier to build accessibility into their Web site design."
